Breathing Stuffed Animals

Breathing stuffed animals are a relatively recent improvement to the stuffed animal concept. These stuffed animals contain a battery inside that makes the chest rise and fall as if the animal is actually breathing. The effect is so subtle that it frequently makes people do a double take to either verify that they saw a stuffed animal breathing or to see if the animal is actually real.
The stuffed animals that breathe are usually not meant for cuddling as much as regular stuffed animals are. They are usually rather rigid in feel, although they are delightful in their own way. Many of these plush animals also come with their own accessories such as a bed, collar and carrier. They are smaller than the actual size animal and are frequently depicted as puppies or kittens.
This type of stuffed animal can make a good gift not only for children but also for older people as well. Several varieties of dogs and cats are available as sleeping plush animals so that there are several choices. Adults have been known to keep these breathing animals at their desks at work, in a special place in their homes or even beside a bed at a hospital or nursing home. Children can utilize the carriers to carry the puppy or kitten and all accessories right along with them.
Some of the advantages of this type of animal are that the breathing animal reminds a person of the real animal and yet can go places where a real animal might not be allowed. The stuffed animals are also easy to care for since they require no food, walks or cleanup!
